What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Fitted some Swamper arch trims.

Currently not bothering with the lower body trim kit as quite a detailed decal from Beatnik is going on halfway up

Also removed the small barn door threshold cover at the rear and fitted a full length extended depth version from THQ.

Much tidier and nicely covers the Oak floor edge.

Also fitted the rear barn door panels after carpeting them plus some very nice pocket storage attachments

I didn't have to carpet them but the smaller T6.1 electric door latch is visible in the larger latch hole of the storage pockets.

From "Van Pockets Design". They make them for loads of vans inc T4, T5, T6 etc.

Recommended, these are really nice quality. You can never have enough storage!

Sweaty day in the van.
Today was 12v power day.
Fridge hooked up and providing chilled brews.
Water pump, tap and waste all plumbed in and powered up.
Roof lights powered on.
2x usb/reading lights affixed and powered on.

Starting to feel like a proper campervan.

Also found out my hot/cold vehicle fan was stuck on heat. Manually moved the thingamajig to cold and ordered a new part from one of the guys on the forum.

Tomorrow I think I'll just tidy up the wiring and enjoy the bank holiday

Got sick of carrying my spare wheel inside the camper. Finally got round to doing a proper fix, new stainless hinge pin made and installed in replacement of the rotten original.
Have you got the dimensions of the pin please, Im needing to make one too

Got back from Ipswich in the wee small hours. Nothing exciting, went to an 80th birthday bash. Took the van as there were 4 of us and dropped the dogs off at my daughters en route.

As a stranger in a foreign land I didn't know where the cameras were or what the county mounties are like so stuck religiously to the limits. Kept to 60 on the A14 comi g back as its tragically badly lit - the later grille lights turn the darkness into nuclear detonation day, but theres always someone coming the other way so I couldn't use them as much as id have like.

Van managed 41.4mpg overall, which is respectable.

Somone recently caught doing 147mph on the A14...was that you @JumpShip?

Joking aside...because of Sizewell there are police everywhwre in Suffolk atm...lots of speed traps and roads that used to be 60 are now 30...so beware if you are visitng.

Sorry, my post should have been in the "where have you been" thread, but escaping east anglia and its werewolves has left me traumatised.

Busy weekend!

I decided Saturday (30c heat) was a good day to fit new dampers and lowering springs.

I then waited until the cooler evening to fit my spoiler and side bars

And this evening I had the wheel off and cleaned behind the arch liner.

I'll do the other arch another evening

Upgrading the underseat agm leisure battery in our Aussie spec Cali T6.1 to lithium today, with dc dc charger, connection to solar plus ability to restore starter battery. The overhead battery monitor also being recoded. Also installing new remote port at rear of van. At coffee shop whilst work is being completed.

Size, I know they say it doesn't matter but numbers required. 🥸

160Ah LiPo4 battery, 50A DC-Dc charger supplemented by 200W solar! Major upgrade from the factory fitted 75Ah AgM which effectively only gave 50% of that (and not even that most of the time). Best thing is that they also recoded the overhead battery readout as well so that it’s actually meaningful now!
