What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Apart from maybe the odd plastic trim clip, I wasn't even aware that VW sold anything far as little as 30¢.
So I bought a set of THQ Trapezoid bars and only had then on the van for about 6 months and the coating started to flake off...
Got in touch with THQ and they sent out a new set, really good customer support. I guess these had an issue when they were painted.
Didn't want to just bin these so I stripped them right back
And finally got round to giving them a coat of Jenolite anti rust primer the a couple of coats of black gloss.
Then thought I would give the underside and the brackets a good coat of Hammerite just to try and help with stone chips.
Just waiting for the Hammerite to dry then a couple of layers of clear coat.
So I have a brand new set of these still in the box that will probably go up for sale soon.

Do you have a part number for the charger? did you happen to take some photos of your gear knob swap? Does your van have the S mode, if not does this affect the fit up?
Charger is used by many VW models, i just ordered a used one from a Cupra - 5NA980611A. There is a thread on here on how to wire it up, not got it yet though.

Sadly no S mode, but it all lights up the right way regardless.
Fortunately not the T6 but my T5.1 works van.It went in for a service and came out without the bonnet closed properly.
Proper shit myself at 70mph on the motorway.

Replaced the lower roller on my sliding door (California) as it had completely failed. Found the roller itself in the door channel last night and ordered a full bracket/roller from Amazon last night. Arrived today and fitted it with my 11-year old this evening!
Such a massive improvement on a door that was becoming more difficult to use - it now glides like new. We took the opportunity to clean the roller channel of all the gunk and grease.

Got sick of carrying my spare wheel inside the camper. Finally got round to doing a proper fix, new stainless hinge pin made and installed in replacement of the rotten original.
Gave it a quick wash as I've not done it since last year and I needed to take some pictures for the Agreed Value insurance that I've just renewed. It also has the advantage of having a clean van for the drive down to Cornwall on Sunday but I doubt if it will look quite as god by the time we get there.
That reminds me. I need to wash my wheels,after someone got them caked in mud at Spring Camp.

Ended up getting in touch with Oli at Bognor Motors, and he sorted it all from another dealer.
