Nice addition ! Re coding the fader, you may be better off purchasing VCDS and doing it yourself (easy to do) and then you will have the scanner for other things as well.Rear Speaker pods and Pioneer speakers fitted, Just need to get the fader coded now. Anyone know where I can get that done in Swansea?

I have VCDS Hex V2 from Rosstech and did mine when I added rear speakers. Just need the dongle (only get a genuine one as there are many chinese copies that are dubious ) The software for it runs on a PC/laptop.Thanks @manfrotto I did contemplate that. What f do I I need to do it?

Looks like OBD11 or VCDS would set me back over £400! Am I right?Yes, I did mine with ODB11
Just done my first coding with ODBEleven. Control unit 5F Multimedia. Byte 4. Set bits 1 and 7 to one. Equivalently, change the hex value from 3C to BE. Slide to write. Turn ignition off and on again. Fader now active!
Hopefully this is useful for ODBELeven users without the drop down boxes in VCDS, especially since they have a sale on at the moment.
I paid £20 for someone local to do it for me but maybe you can find someone on here nearby who’ll do it for youLooks like OBD11 or VCDS would set me back over £400! Am I right?
Not sure I want to pay that just to set the fader.

Sorry, what’s a forum camp out?Sorry, I can be a bit slow on the uptake sometimes!
There used to be a map of users with VCDS but I think that’s long gone. Sign up for a forum camp out and there should be loads of people there who will help
A place where VCDS users congregate, among mere mortals, to enjoy a bevvy or two in tranquil surroundings, usually in the vicinity of several drinking establishments!Sorry, what’s a forum camp out?
Hello, I am interested in your switch installation. Do you have some details of the parts, process and connections please? Many thanks, RobFitted a tailgate release momentary switch for the Vivante View attachment 296521
Map still exists, but probably not up-to-date - only works if folks update their profile to show they've got VCDS, plus they also need set a proper location, not "UK" or something daft like "God's own country".Sorry, I can be a bit slow on the uptake sometimes!
