What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

I was going to go with driving seat settings finger print recognition next but Helix Conductor sounds like some sort of DSP steering witch craftery?

I may steal this idea as I need to be able to transport a bike and dont want an external carrier. I was also considering trying to attach a fold down wall mount bike clamp/work stand to the inside of the barn door if I can get a spreader pad into a suitable area to take the load and can be used when the doors are open for any maintenance
There are afew solutions out there similar to this, but i was able to make my own considerably cheaper.

List of components and some details for anyone who is interested.

Lashing point bolt centers - 1095mm (may be slightly different on your own van so measure to confirm)
Lashing point bolt thread - M10x1.5
Length of L track used - 1200mm
L Track Used - Curved undrilled L track (Custom length cut)
Threaded drop in studs (I ordered long ones to cut to size)
Bike Fork Mount from Amazon

Good idea on the bike mount/stand . I was just going to take my folding bike stand and maybe make a clip on the ply next to the bike to hold it securely when driving.

Can take 4 full size bikes if you're careful!

@scoob99. Good job there - not happy to hear it was a PITA as I've got a new one to fit but I've been putting it off until the weather warms up and plastic bits might not break quite so easily! Mine's a T6 manual so it maybe it will be a bit easier.

my solution, same fork holder, slideable, under the bed, but just for one Bike:

Looks great 👍

I'd like something that isnt a permanent fixture or trip hazard, i may try make a fork mount that will slide out from under the passenger seat so I can slide it away when not in use. Its also to carry a Gravel bike (Sonder Camino) for doing some routes in the highlands and some bikepacking to base camp at some further away munros

That's the beauty of my 'box' thingy!! It uses a couple of 'J' hooks and thumb-turn doodahs and hooks into the load restraint lashing points.

A few twiddles of a couple of knobs (so to speak) and it can be whipped out to sit on the shelf in the garage until the next time we go for a belt down a hill on 2 wheels!

What size you after?? Mine are Bridgestones and thought £190 was dear but it is what it is nowadays!

Ahhh... sorry, I misread your post. You bought two for the fronts and not all four corners.

I'm stuck at the mo, Saving for either new 20" wheels with tyres, or second hand 20" wheels with tyres, or just new tyres for my Momo's. Or some Devonports with some spacers or just run mine on the tread I have left and spend the money on other stuff. it's been three months of hard research and am no where close to making a decision

Next time you set ut up could you take an image of the parts that connect/remove?
