Had some inheritance money, always wanted 1, so got black 1 (kombi) first....then see the grey 1 and thought a panel van will be useful....then the split was right place right time....Bit greedy

And the Oldest (Splity) is probably worth the most by a fair bit too.

Yeah i'd like to think so, but they only worth as much as someone is willing to pay....i like the splitty, its something else to drive, especially when I've been in the t6.1's straight before.....
I wish I still had my first splitty, a 1966 model bought in 1977 for £250 with a years mot.

Got chrome side bars so they would have to be changed i reckon.. do like the trapezoids or swop for blacks

You can buy pre cut vinyl to "de-chrome" the strips on eBay here
But I decided to get this roll for a similar price and cut it myself. I also tried to wrap the chrome badge, but that was really fiddly and didn't work out very well so I just bought one.
I was thinking of the trapezoidal black side bars myself, but I'm gonna wait till I lower it and see how it looks before I make that decision.

Do you mind me asking, I’m just about to do this myself. I believe they supply a new VIN plate? Is this stuck or riveted on and where does it go?
This person has left (or been removed) but I can answer. They provide a sticker to attach (and I can’t remember if this is recommended or just what I did) next to the original plate in the driver door.
