I went with nearside because we use that side sliding door, my consumer unit is in the boxed area on that side and I needed to keep the socket to consumer unit to 2m. It wasn't to bad to fit to be honest. The screws and bolts are quite fiddly when your fingers are cold. Brave boy pants on when attacking the panel with the dremel. Took about 3 hours start to finish.

Sure is. Had to trim the little guides inside the dash a tad as it really didn't want to go in, but cheap and effective and not tacky imo like some mods.Nice! Such an easy cheap mod
I've fixed the 4mo warning light that I've had on the dash for about a year. I've previously done loads of data for mmi and we thought we'd narrowed it down to a wiring issue.
I've had the haldex controller off, cleaned all connections and even pulled the unit apart to check for water ingress.
Anyway, today whilst at the park as there was only me there I decided to check the haldex function (even though it passed the test in VCDS) by dropping the clutch at 2500rpm on the loose gravel car park. Small amount of front wheelspin followed by a big rear wheelspin and two big lines in the gravel - and hey presto the warning light went off immediately and hasn't come back on.
I'll scan it later just out of curiosity, but hopefully it was just some sort of calibration issue making it throw a wobbler.

Is this an easy job to wire in? I quite fance one of these.
Yes very easy job, just needs an earth and a took a switched live feed from the fuse box using a piggy back fuse.
