What panel are you going for @chimpusmaximus ? I'm currently in between panels with a Renogy 220w suitcase panel keeping me going, but I do want one back on the roof. My second failure of a flexi panel in 3 years. A proper non flex one it will be next time, with a good warranty!New Mppt fitted as decided to go big with solar. Flex 200w at moment but hope to upgrade over weekend.

Yup. I’ve done this. Snaps far too easily. Expensive trip to the garage.Aaah you know when your having a bad week.. Van is now 6months old.. about 3k on the clock and wanted to adjust the solow suspension slightly on the rears.. all fine until taking the bolts out of the anti roll bar from the suspension arm.. 1st bolt came out with threads on2nd snapped inside the arm ffs! Filled the swear jar many times over after snapping the extractor tool with the hardened bit inside too.. long story but got it out and ordered new bolts! Discovered the 1st bolt thread has gone even with a long bolt aaahhh.. looking like will have to helicoil
can only assume damaged when VW fitted or when the suspension was changed (which was done when new before bought)?? Anyone else had a similar issue?

That makes the big boys 300 watt club look 'poxy'!Go big or go home…..
Apart from a small issue with bracket spacing it has been a success. Pop top lifts up fine even with the extra weight.
So it’s a 535w panel and so far been getting over 25amps of solar.
