So the Victron IP22 arrived yesterday. I knew it wouldn't come with any cables so looked around and found these from 'Simply Split Charge'.
Around £20, really impressed with the quality and speed of delivery
Fitting tomorrow.
If any Victron users are reading, my plan is as follows, is this what others do.
Wiring these cables directly to the battery and permanently mounting the IP22 pack, but leaving the three pin accessible for,
Charging at home.
1. Plugging into an extension lead and then to outdoor garden electric socket to charge the battery when parked at home, by running extension lead into van
2. Or plugging IP22 plug into one of the vans plug sockets and plugging in the ehu cable which has an adapter for normal plug socket which can go into the garden outdoor plugs.
Charging on site, when on hook up, between sites
Same as number 2, but plug in over night so batteries charged up ready for moving sites the next day.
Only problem with my set up is when EHU is plugged in and PMS3H is switched on my Dometic coolmatic CB40 chest fridge turns on as it doesn't seem to have an off switch. I'm wondering if the temperature dial turned right down doubles as a switch.
