What Have You Bought Today?

I had issues with my wifes EBIKE as it was too heavy (for the Bike tow bar)when loaded with another pedal bike.
The rack takes 60kg and each bike can be 30kg.
The nose weight for the T6 is 100kg so even at full load plus the 16kg of the rack that’s only 76kg.
Wife’s e-bike is only 21kg it’s a ‘lightweight’ one.
Just had a test-fitting and all is good, except can’t open the tailgate with the tilt. Not an issue for us as everything is accessible from inside the van.IMG_8122.jpegIMG_8123.jpeg

I'm really pleased with it. It was the one I wanted from research. The Strada DL3 would be better but it's max individual limit will be enough if I get a full fat enduro size e-bike.
Looked on ebay and this was being sold by a guy a couple of miles away. Came as a deal with his Tesla and it was still in the box sealed up.
Anyway, I'm off touring bke shops this morning looking at e-bikes. :uh run:

So the tailgate does not go open with the Atera Evo 2, is it the carrier itself or the bikes on it?:)

Thanks!

I've bought two sets of these Maypole MP536 Pair of Yellow Grip Mats from Euro Car Parts for £9.59 per pair - much cheaper than Amazon or Go Outdoors. I thought it was time to get some before the Spring T6 camp in case the sloping field is wet.

Just be aware, if it wobbles it will come in to contact with the window!

The gap is bigger than it looks. I've bounced the carrier as much as I could and it still had a good margin. Although I'm sure there's more forces at play when you hit a pothole at speed. Fingers crossed.
I can always turn the bars a little once I've bought a new window.

I was looking at the Ridge Monkey one yesterday. They seem like a good idea. How much is this one?
Not cheap, £200 , it’s an Australian manufacturer for overlanding kit, I brought this one as it’s 20 litres and will fit in a jerry can holder bracket that I’ve got, I’m sure the Ridge monkey is good, like all their products,
it’s basically a 12 v pump, 12v lead and a shower spray head, I’ve got a shower cubicle on order too, outside one obviously…

Last years Busfest, where the showers are suspect at least, we had a 20 litre collapsible bucket (kettle of boiling water with 2/3rd's cold, 38 degrees on the pump display), a cheap submersible pump with shower head and hook, a toddlers paddling pool (pink of course) in the Cayman Can toilet tent, under the Outwell Air Touring shelter. I initially laughed, but it was just right! Recommended!
