What Have You Bought Today?

Couldn’t stand the terrible factory audio in my T6.1 any longer so fitted an almost plug and play aftermarket speaker upgrade. Went with the Focal door speakers, tweeters and Amp with sub setup. The improvement to clarity, musicality and bass are well worth the effort and cost!

Nice work, how did you mount the sub under the seat, i.e fasten it down?

Just received mine from Hudson. £63 posted. Ordered a separate base so I could roof mount it and watch the iPad in bed as well.
Cool. Just ordered mine from Hudson as well. How long did shipping take? Need mine by Friday .

Nice work, how did you mount the sub under the seat, i.e fasten it down?
I built a small box underneath to raise it up off the floor a bit. Used left over adhesive cell foam to protect it from the seat base edges then just used the supplied Velcro strips the sub came with. Robust enough at the moment.

Finally able to order windows for the van today. Very excited..two aftermarket flush openers, two fakes and barn door windows

I was in "Go Outdoors" yesterday, like you do when you're retired and you've got a stack of jobs to do but it's far too hot to do them, when I spotted this:

I have no idea why they call it a brush, it's not!

Thinking how much I hate washing the roof of my van, I bought one.
I've just finished washing the van and I'm very glad I bought it!
The microfibre is great, I wouldn't use a brush on my van.
I didn't attach it to the hose, I just dunk it in the car wash solution, it holds tons of it which is great because the more the better IMO.
I used it on the roof whilst on a step ladder, then the bonnet, windscreen and sides of the van. It's no good for the fiddly bits but It saved me a good bit of time and clambering about trying to reach the middle of the screen!

So there are threads for what have you done today, one for where have you been today but not one for what have you bought today?

I must admit I've bought loads of parts, detailing products and other bits that I haven't got round to fitting or mentioning or I've bought a product and then realised someone else has used a similar product/parts that would of been a better option and helped me with my purchase.

So I wonder if this type of thread would be useful to other members?

Kicking it off ... I've spent weeks looking at DA polishers on the market and there are a lot to consider... in the end I went with a version of the Das6 pro plus from carbon collective...mainly as it had all the features of other das6 pro pluses but it came in white and black...to match the van.

Once I give it a go, I'll let you know how I got on with it

In the meantime I'm researching the best compound/polish to use with itView attachment 41947
I find that Auto Finesse One stop is good as it breaks down into a finer paste. Used with DA polisher.

If I recall correctly they will be from Vehicle Glass Company (VGC) but supply and fit by someone in Witney. Let me see how it pans out before naming them
It was the glass you are getting I was interested in. I have seen those, also Leisure Vehicle Windows (which are looking favourites for me atm) and THQ new flush fit design if I decide to wait.

We bought some magnets to hold the sides of the Midge Netting in place across the door. It works in the garage but not tested yet in any wind, although they seem to be capable. The tops are orange plastic so when the do fall off they shouldn’t damage anything and we should be able to find them.
Based on an idea from @Long tall John
