How does that work now? I’ve got a lifetime membership but didn’t they make it so you had to pay to access remote servers?

If your only playing video Plex is free to download and if someone has a Plex server and allow you access to their collection you are good to go. The Plex Amp app is however not free and you have to pay for that (in your case it is free as you have a lifetime Plex account) If you PM with your Plex username I will give you access to my music collection.

Added you to my server, so enjoy. I started using Plex in 2000 when membership was 65 quid, it is silly money now, but nothing beats it.

I do not share it outside this forum unless a member here asks for a family member.
