What Are The Threaded Holes Above Wheel Arches For?

I've noticed there are two holes with what looks like M8 threads in around the wheel arches on the interior, does anyone know what they're for?
I'm planning to have the van carpet lined and not sure whether to cover them up.

Your factory spare wheel jack and wre will screw into one of these to stop it rolling around

They'll make good lashing points for light items.

Do you mean on the wheel arch itself or in the side wall above the arch?

If you mean top of the arch on inside of the van then I think you may be referring to where the inertia reel of the seat belt mounts for those people who have a 3rd row of seats.

There appears to be an M10 and M6 thread on the rhs wheel arch and just the one M10 hole on the left arch.

Definately the anchor bolts for the bottom of the seat belt if you’d got a 3rd row of seats.

Hi,
Started sound deadening my van today and come across a couple or threaded holes.
As the title says......are these additional tie down points?
They certainly look reinforced enough to do the job. Can someone clarify for me please because if they are I'll incorporate them into the final build when I carpet it.
Can never have enough time downs!

I think they are seat belt mounting points, so should be strong enough.

Aaahhhh...that makes sense. Didn't think about the shuttle version with the extra row of seats.

Yep as detailed above. They are the top and bottom seat belt mount. Kombi’s certainly have them so that should someone want, they can easily add the 3rd row of seats. Would guess all body derivatives have them, simplicity in pressing/ welding panels.
