I think it’s working as well as it can. The voltage is virtually the same at the battery and the fridge now so it seems to be a case of when the van is being driven and on mains hookup all is fine. When on the leisure battery it struggles if the voltage drops. I suspect this may always have been the case. Assuming there is no way of getting the mains charger to charge to the same levels as the alternator then I think it’s as good as it can be on the existing system.
