As most already know. We don’t like excessively dropped Vans because of the residual problems it causes , but I do get asked by some customers about the modified top mount , and the merits of this mod. Promoted by a few accessory companies .
I thought it would be a good idea to expose this mod for what it really is. Stupid !,
we have had a few vans in the shop for refits After clients have been led down the slippery slopes of excessive drops and on all occasions where the top ally plate Has been Turned down to lower the front we have found Problems !
Avoid these type of modifications. . One customer explained he was having to replace the rubber mount often and the top nut on the shock kept coming loose .
