Tailgate floor trim blanking pieces T6.1

Hi - new highline 6.1. Tiny snag. I was a bit surprised that the recesses for the bolts/screws that secure the plastic trim strip across the rear of the rubber floor aren't blanked off. They were on my beloved T5. I noticed it when I picked it up but the rep said they aren't normally blanked off. Since I surf all the time, the recesses are going to fill up with sand. Is this the case with all new 6.1's and does anybody know if there are some available anywhere? Cheers

VW haven't been fitting the blanking plugs on most models for some years now. Our 66 plate Highline T6 Kombi didn't have them when new.
