T6 Vacuum unit

Hi everyone, I wonder if anyone has had the pleasure of fitting one of these vacuum units before? Mine took a knock after a bump, i thought it was OK but it causes an error after a drive. I have got a new one from VW but was wondering if they are OK to do or if can give me any advice on the easiest way to fit it. Thank you

That looks like the vacuum actuator for the inlet manifold flap.
Check that the flap moves okay without the actuator attached as they have a tendency to gum up with oily crud.

Thank you for the diagram, yes that's exactly what it is. I will check that lever as soon as I can get to it that is, it looks well buried.
