T6 Bike Rack - Retrofit for T5?

Has anyone ever heard of the VW T6 bike rack being fitted to a T5? I much prefer the look of the new rack, but I can't find any evidence that you can replace the T6 mounting apparatus to make it sit on a T5 tailgate instead. Any help or suggestions much appreciated!

Just saw this and it answers this OP question from a few months ago. T6 Quasimodo rack fitted on a T5.
I reckon it’s botched on rather than feet/ mountings being swapped though.
No comments about lockdown breaches in case it’s somebody on here!

No different feet for resting against the tailgate and slightly different geometry i believe
