i know this question has been asked regarding the T6, but is there a direct replacement wheel featuring the DSG paddles and retain the T6.1 airbag. From what I understand the airbag won’t fit on many other VW wheels.

many thanks

2G0 419 089 D VDH

This is part number for he dsg version of the T6.1 leather mfsw for cars with adaptive cruise control.

I ordered this from a dealer and fitted to my July '23 build 150 DSG. It was a straight swap and the paddles worked straight away with no coding.

Looking for some help - I've bought a used wheel with DSG paddles - 2G0 419 089 D VDH 01S M/T/-/- ACC to replace my existing wheel (2G0 419 089 B VDH 03S M/-/-/- ACC). Vehicle is a 2023 July build T6.1 DSG with ACC. Based on KevinM's post above, I was hoping this would be a straight swap, but I've got multiple errors on the dash -
- manoeuvre braking unavailable
- error stability control
- error hill start assist
- front assist unavailable
- side assist & rear traffic alert unavailable
- ACC deactivated

The RH buttons on the wheel all work correctly, the LH buttons (ACC) surprise, surprise don't do anything. I haven't dismantled either wheel to see what button part numbers are installed, visually they are identical. Does anyone who knows what they are doing with this have any suggestions please

Are all the buttons identical? The one to cycle the modes can be different.
Have you turned the steering wheel lock to lock? That clears numerous errors after disconnecting the battery. Especially when taking off the wheel. Then you can clear all the other non visible faults logged in the control units if you so wish.
I'm still trying to figure out some coding on mine since I swapped over wheels.

Thanks for the fast reply Paul, buttons are identical. Steering wheel now turned lock to lock and the majority of the error messages have now disappeared - thanks so much for the tip. I'll take it for a drive in the morning and see what works. Assume I'd need VCDS or similar to clear the non visible faults.

That's good ita cleared most of them. Always a heart sinking moment when all those crop up.
Have you got blind spot monitoring? If so, I believe that needs the AM button, not TA. Car with lines either side, rather than in a circle.
Yes, some sort of code tool. I'm a bit ocd and don't like all the faults logged. They will all be communication ones from the disconnected battery and normally look worse than they are. Just clear them.
They are useful for finding other things though and also coding. 2nd hand wheel, as I've found out, the buttons can be coded/adapted differently so things need to be put right. I use OBDeleven.
