DSG Paddles

I've seen loads of posts about swapping out the whole steering wheel to one with DSG paddles. But is it possible to fit DSG shift paddles to an existing highline wheel (2020 T6.1)?

If so what parts do it need and would anything need coding?

The back of the steering wheel is different. There is a recess for the paddles. Also, your existing button pack would need the connector on each one for the paddle to be able to be hardwired to them. Without removing the you wouldnt know.

Thank you Paul, very helpful. I can see why it's easier just to swap out the wheel in that case. Cheers

Yes and there is an abundance of cheap wheels on ebay. As you have the newer airbag you should have the newer black 6 pin connector. Mine is the older vw logo and older 5 pin connector so caused all sorts of issues swapping them over and a coding nightmare.
Be careful as there are so many variants of wheel and button packs out there.
