Step with Light cutout - same mould / one design?

Hi

We have a new T6 with twin sliding doors (my wife) noticed when you open the passenger side rear sliding door the light is on the right as you get in (to the rear of the van).

When you open the sliding door behind the drivers door its on the right (to the front of the van).

Is this right i.e. do VW only make one step?

Yes it’s an identical step just turned around 180, bit of a cheap ass way of doing it me thinks
