Hi
Wondering if someone with more electrical knowledge of the T6 can check my working out so far and maybe help me come to a conclusion...
The vehicle is 2019 LWB t30 rhd with single left sliding door and tailgate. Its had a full professional camper conversion. Pretty sure its a trendline.
When i bought it a couple weeks ago it had a fault where it was blowing fuse C44 (20a). Not blowing everytime it was replaced, sometime is lasted a couple of days, but i couldnt see any pattern to what id done when it blew.
Using the wiring diagrams on here I traced it under the passenger seat and by removing all the connectors and plugging them back in one at a time I figured out it was a wire in the green one furthest to the front of the vehicle. Then by bridging the contacts individually with a section of wire and a 15a fuse in a holder i found the one that was popping the fuse is the thick red with blue trace.
The rest of the wires in that plug go up to the sliding side door contacts and all have continuity from the plug to the door.
If im reading the diagrams right the connector is T10q and the thick red with blue trace wire runs from there to T8x, which i believe to be one of the terminals in J558, the left sliding door control unit.
Thats what I "believe" I know so far... although I am more than happy to be corrected
This is where i need to pick your collective brains...
What does that red/blue wire do when it gets to the control unit and what does the control unit do. The reason i ask is because I have picked that pin out of the T10q connector and plugged the rest of it back together and as far as i can see everything is working. The C44 fuse doesnt blow, the alarm horn, central locking/unlocking works on every door, the interior light comes on when it should from every door, the display on the dash registers every door opening and closing, so I cant think of anything thats not working or anything else to check.
I have read about the control unit getting water in it and frying components, (i dont have the electric sliding motor hole/grommet to let water through) but checking the actual unit needs to be a last resort if there is a reason i cant just leave this wire disconnected because i`ll need to cut my rear carpeting to get to it...
Hope someone can help
