Sliding Door locking

Hi, 19 plate twin slider T6. Drivers side sliding door now wont slide or electronic lock.
Checked door contacts,
Checked 40amp fuses and power all there.

I did notice that the interior lights are being activated either when I open the door. Did I read somewhere there is a micro switch in the actual lock mechanism that could cause this ? Or any other suggestions would be hugely appreciated

Did you get anywhere with this, having similar issue!

hi. yes turns out to be the sliding door control module. looks like water has travelled down one of the plugs and killed it. £319 for a replacement part from VW. I swapped the modules over between doors and the fault moved with the module.
