Just wondering where your bedboard struts are fitted as they aren’t underneath the bedboard as they are on mine ?

@Slackerpage. Sorry for the delay. Here's a few more pics (the pop studs are for hanging a curtain). I also took a video of opening and closing but now realise that I don't know how to post it (and have no desire to find out how before anybody tells me!). The cutouts are to ensure that i it doesn't interfere with the strap buckles which could be disastrous (but they are kind of hidden from sight. At the end of the day, the make of your roof will dictate how simple or complicated the job needs to be - mine's a Westdubs and was simple and I love simple!
