Reversing Camera - Lowline to Highline Upgrade/Retrofit

Ah that explains it, and AI did eventually tell me the same yesterday that i needed the towbar module to allow the camera image to move. Stupid really as it should be nothing to do with the towbar module, its purely looking down and changing the camera lens. I do have the controls down the right, but only the lines change (camera angle does not):



What i also can't get, is views like this to work:


I noted the camera module is parametrised as an Audi camera, and OBD11 will not let me change that.

The AUDI dataset is loaded in your camera.

Yeah read this after alot of digging online, and its not an easy fix to load a VW dataset. Also noticed the back of the camera has screws on it - someone has opened it up.

You can upload correct dataset via vcp or odis easily

It's very easy to download the dataset, but I haven't seen the dataset for VW T6.1 available anywhere. But you can download a dataset from any other VW (only after that you will need to re-encode the camera and calibrate it)

Yeah i only have OBD11

Could try VW, but for the cost surely easier to just buy a second hand OEM camera

Is it possible to at least move the red line on the camera image, to match the Transporter? Or is that only doable through calibration?

I also retrofitted the Highline RVC and Frontcamera.
Initially, I installed the 7N0 control unit and the Sharan camera.
The image quality wasn't that convincing
View attachment 304944 So I tried the 5Q0980568B T6.1 camera in combination with the Canny converter. I have to say, I'm very satisfied with this combination. Finally, a sharp, clear image.

However, I received two error codes:

View attachment 304946 @F-roger will take care of his firmware, so these errors will disappear.
With these errors, no basic setting/calibration of rvc is possible.

This DTC‘s are my mistake! Sorry for it! I just set a wrong coding! I enable ARA in unit 6C

Only calibration is left in dtc memory, I think I can calibrate rvc now…

And everything works fine…

What pins are used in the 20 pin connector and where do they go to?
