Hi I’m looking to change the rear view mirror camera the current on is very poor quality and was in the van when I brought it. Seen a few threads on Wolfbox versions are they the best around ? And which one would people recommend.
Are all cameras wired the same in that the rear cam cable already in place can be reused or will I need to run another one ?
I also assume the camera at the rear is wired to the reversing light some how to know when I put the van in reverse and show in the mirror.
My head unit does not show video, just the reversing sensor radar thing. I assume my basic head unit cannot do video in my T6.1 Startline. So I guess my current camera is not connected to the head unit.
I don’t know the make of the existing camera, there is no markings on it at all, the camera fits into the lens of the barn door upper break light, I want to change, where is best on the rear to mount the camera.
Finally I would like to remove the current mirror and not piggyback on to it I see that I might have to custom make something to make this work.
I am no mechanic but I am going to attempt this replacement myself unless anyone can recommend someone close to the midlands that would do the job at a reasonable price.
