Reverse camera for Alpine Halo9

I’m just fitting my Halo 9 into my T6 and it looks like I’ve got an after market reversing camera. The camera lead that comes from the head unit (pictured) has 5 cables going into the plug. The two cables on the left are video, the black is ground, is the red 12v acc ? And is the purple the reversing light signal ???

I can’t find a wiring diagram anywhere online… any help will be gratefully received

Yes some Alpines have connections for their direct fit cameras,

you do need a adapter for a normal camera, we keep stock and can get one to you for Tuesday

I bought a Alpine adaptor plug, but this just has the video on it (i.e two wires from the plug into the female RCA video plug). I just need to understand what the purple lead does and if the red lead in the picture is a 12v feed from the ignition?? I can't find a pin-out drawing anywhere... I wish I'd booked it in with you guys Absolut5 to fit....

I have the reverse camera that is joint to the high level brakelight. It has stopped working after 3 years ( the brake light stopped working after 6 months)

I want to swap out the high level brake light for the smoked version and get an independant reverse camera that can connect to the Alpine Halo 9 instead of the cheap internal mirror ( poor dark images)

Im looking for recomendations for a camera that connects easily to the halo 9 that has clear images.
