Replacing heated seats with heated Recaro’s

Hi all, I’m new to the forum. I have a T6 Kombi Highline 2018 which came with factory fitted heated seats with the controller on the dash. I’ve just bought Recaro Ergomed E seats which have the climate pack so are heated. Can I simply wire the Recaro seats to the VW heated seat wiring or is it more complicated than that?

Not sure how the recaro seats work but VW seats have a 3 wire connection as there’s a temp sensor built into the seat to help control them

Thanks Pauly, my Recaro seats also have 3 wires for the heating. Can I just connect them up then and see what happens or might that do damage to my electrics? Thanks

Its a risk, VW have two fatter cables for power and one smaller cable that is a signal return, its possible yours work the same way but you need to make sure you get the wires the right way around
