Tried out the renogy 1000 W inverter over the weekend, it did not go well for some reason it would not run a heated blanket which draws next to no power, shortly after it’s started to stink and fizz ! I turned the bugger off fast.
I ran a jigsaw off it the other week no issue all .
cables ext are spot on and installed perfectly ,looks like it needs to go back ,anyone had any issues with this Kit ?
In my last van I had a small bestek for the blanket it worked a treat.
oh it’s running from a Renogy lipo4 fully charged cheers folks

Got a few pics of the install and cables?

I run Renogy inverters and batteries, not had one fail yet.

What's the install location?.. Any chance it got damp?

Hi Del it’s under the passenger seat ,no chance it got damp.
I will get a photo it may be a freak unit but luckily I smelt the unit as I was about to go too sleep could have been nasty .

A tight fit but nothing touching,it's sounds like it's been chucked in a sink .
I will whip it out and send it back.

I wouldnt have thought so, it was cold and only on for 4 or 5 mins ,its up un a platform with plenty of air around it this all there is under that section of seat so there should be lots of air to suck in . I could be wrong but looking at how ramned other folks ave them I wont know . I have raised a query with Renogy and will see what they come up with guess I will send it back and let them look at it.
