I have an 18 plate 102, had a Pendle remap and took it to 159bhp, best thing I ever did. Covered 20k miles since the remap and had zero issues. If the map is done correctly and custom tuned to your vehicle you won't have any issues with it. As for mpg, mine has stayed pretty much exactly the same. Hope that helps.

I've got a 16 plate t6 102 shuttle and it's getting a custom remap and egr delete done tomorrow. I've been having issues with the egr so instead of paying £460+ just for the part itself I am getting the remap done and saving money. Been told it could increase the bhp to close to 170 as well as more torque so I'm looking forward to getting it out for a wee blast.

I'm guessing you already know that an egr delete is an MOT fail and there are new measures coning into the MOT to check for this?

TBF they never left Pendle which always caused issues. So they parted with Revo

Hey

Recently purchased T6.1 150PS DSG - looking to re map
1) Pendle vs Revo ? I am leaning towards Pendle as they offer gearbox remap as well which makes sense to me if remapping the ECU
2) Presuming remapping invalidates the 3 year warranty?
3) Pros and cons of your experience of remapping?

I’m lucky enough to live not too far from Pendle and had my MY 2017 T6 150 DSG remapped by Martin. I’d not booked in for a DSG remap but I was offered an on the day deal for both which was a significant discount. Took a walk into town for a couple of hours whilst he worked his magic. Drive is night and day better particularly as the weight of the conversion is a constant presence. Very pleased with it.

Had my Revo remap at their Performance Centre centre yesterday and can highly recommend. Great advice and I was well looked after.

Revo and Pendle are clearly the two best remaps out there and what swayed me was a combination of geography (I live 25mins from Daventry) and the size of Revo as a business compared to Pendle.

Having said that, Martin's videos are a must watch and he clearly knows his stuff so I guess it's a bit like choosing between an Audi or a BMW.

I spoke to my insurance company (Safeguard) and there was no extra cost apart from the usual £25 policy amendment charge.

As far as warranty is concerned Revo's view that is they will happily remove the remap and for non related warranty issues the Dealer is unlikely to see it unless they dig far enough into the ECU.

I've taken the view that life's too short and for a brand new 150 bhp with DSG providing I avoid lots of short journeys and use decent fuel ( eg V-Power) I should be ok.

Next up is the TVS gearbox remap and LED lights at THQ (I'm sure the Pendle one is good too). Then booked in with Jason at Absolut5 for the audio upgrade.

Job done then and time to give the wallet a rest.

Hope this helps and you won't regret it whichever you choose.

I assumed so. Fortunately for me my wife noticed the slight lack of power and gearbox hunting a couple of weeks ago when we were on holiday in Cornwall and coping with the steep and narrow lanes. So expenditure (reluctantly) approved

Disappointing from VW though that a great van in the T6.1 is spoilt by under-engineered software, poor headlights (non LED), audio quality from the 80's and finally a Noddy horn to boot.

I wouldn't swap my campervan for anything though but thank God for aftermarket specialists

Hey

Initially I was leaning toward Revo for that exact reason however Revo only remap the ECU Pendle do both in one session. Ill look in separate TVS suppliers locally to me as there is a Revo dealer down the road. Great info on the warranty side so thanks which is now pushing me towards Revo as the dealer is local so easy to get removed for any warranty issues. I agree I have only just got the van however have no plans to sell my preference is to get it done as there seem to be so many wins.

I just fitted some smoked LED side repeaters last night look great, had an audio upgrade as well went for Audison tweeters and speakers with sound deadening in the doors - well worth it !

Thanks for the info great help
