P00AF fault code

Due to my frustration at seeing the glow plug light again. Has anyone ever got a resolve to getting this fault code eliminated. the van never goes into limp mode, and the only difference I can see is when the fault is displaying the start/stop system does work, which is strange as this in my limited knowledge has nothing to do with the turbo system which this fault points towards. I have posted before about this issue but just hoped a fresh post might open up some new recommendations...fingers crossed.

So all was good for 6 months?
Besides fuel additive what else has been tried to rectify the issue?

Hydra maximus fuel additive on each refill, and recently use two lots of Wynn's pro turbo cleaner, van runs well and never goes into limp mode or really any reduction of performance. Motorway driving this week and even though the dreaded glow plug light came on the van didn't miss a beat all the way home 60 miles. Fitted a new N75 solenoid which I thought helped but not for long. Tested for vacuum going to the N75 and all seems good, lost for ideas after that and I feel if it goes into the dealership they'll just suggest new turbo.

Having the same issue. I have come to the conclusion that all mechanics don’t know what half the emission pipes do. The garages just throw the parts canon at fault codes hoping that it will solve the issue and costing owners thousands of pounds. It’s clear vehicles are not built to last sadly. I doubt I will ever get to the bottom of mine so just going to sell it as is and be done with it.

I fixed mine with a pierburg genuine VW part N75 valve. The after market one which was installed when I bought the van, gave me the proof error, never had the fault again after replacing the N75. Hope this helps 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
