Need ideas for Consumer Unit location in tambour unit.

And yes the void by the wheel arch would be ideal, it was my better half who was suggesting it would be the harder place to install, but she is also the one that would want the the space in the tambour for women stuff. I believe I have the same unit and had similar idea to mount it where you are showing. However you will find that there isn’t much of a void and cables will most likely catch on your tambour doors when you open them.

I went for wall mounted inside the cupboard

Will it fit between the wheel arch and the rear section of the cupboard?

If so, I'd make a board to fit that gap and attach the CU to it. Then attach the board to the wall of the van somehow... velcro?
