Muppet with the tailgate

Am I the only muppet to knock a cupboard door off by closing the tailgate on it? Is there anything I can buy to stop it closing without thinking if harder?

Apart from that we had a great weekend at the CAMC site at Sandrigham.

I've reversed in to my garage door with the tailgate up....twice. luckily it was the garage door which came off worse both times.

How about a Tailgate stand? Maybe something you have to unlock would help you remember to do a quick check for open doors?

Presuming you have a manual tailgate, can't you just tie something like a red ribbon from the tailgate pull-strap - an aide memoir dangling down that'll make you stop and think before closing the tailgate?

A pair of Quick Pop straps. A lot neater than the previous 8 foot straps and they don’t fall on your head while driving! I like how they have a hook that the buckle is fixed to so you can pull down on the roof to tighten it. The magnet in the end of the loose strap is a nice touch too, so...

I’ve done it once, and it pulled the screws out of the hinge, but luckily no major damage.
