Mobiframe Composite Flooring System

I cut off the overlap around the drivers seat base to accommodate the ovano panel but left the rest. I also got a rubber insert and wedged it in between the edge of the flooring and the carpet around the perimeter. A bit fiddly but it finishes the edge of better than leaving lapped up or just cut straight - also stops dirt etc getting caught in the small gap.

it was done by Oxcampers for me along with a few other things a few weeks ago, not sure what was used but to me it looks like a plastic edging strip, I agree I think it finishes it off well. Probably get something similar from B+Q as edging strip

We are really impressed with ours, makes the van more usable, been able to move the seats from front to back. Really easy to put it into bed position as well.

Has anyone fitting one of these themselves? It looks pretty straightforward to bond the pre cut floor etc and add a couple of bolts (but installers seem to be charging £4-600?)

Has anyone fitted slimline furniture designed for a RiB 130 alongside a Mobiframe 126cm? Maths would suggest it works but maybe it’s not that simple?

@Touchwood Is that insulation / sound deadening in between the floor ridges? Trying to figure out if I need to do this when I install mine. Cheers
Yes I put some Dodo Mat Deadn between the ridges, can't be sure of the impact, but I would do it again this way, every bit helps

An electric cartridge gun to apply the glue would be very useful if you can borrow one, I managed to get a neighbour to help me but our forearms were ruined using 2 of these manual ones :) as need to work fast to avoid it going off.

I would recommend talking off the seat belt pillars as I scuffed mine when putting the floor down, also a Dremel is useful to slightly notch out a small section to fit the seat belt bolt at the bottom of the pillars. Took about an hour to install once prepped.

I also had the heating pipe which I needed to drill out with a hole cutter to feed the floor over the pipe, a 2/3 person job

Thanks for the updates. Great to see someone’s got one in themselves

By seatbelt buckles and trim I assume you mean the cab belts?

Is yours a 126cm 3 seater? Have you found any units to run down the side or made anything to suit?

Very true. I got one off Ali Express to put my van windows in, and use it all the time now. Much more even application than I can do by hand.

Unfortunately Mobiframe weren’t in UK when I had my Reimo done, otherwise I might put one in.

Thanks for the fitting tips, much appreciated.

I’ll try and get hold of an electric mastic gun. Even installing the windows with a manual gun was a burn...

Was planning on using up some unused dodo too. I did read a comment somewhere that the floor could potentially act as a drum — Whether that’s true I don’t know.

You can see how close the seatbelt bolt behind the drivers seat is to the floor, and the scuff on the passenger side which i should have removed prior to installing the floor.

I have just started to build my units, about 330mm wide, got a 1200mm wide bed and managed to get a small fridge recessed into the panel which allows the seat to still slide past, its tight but did not want to go the drawer fridge route.

Looks good, I had a couple of interesting time lapse videos sent to me by convertors when he installed floor recently, unfortunately I cannot upload MP4 videos here, but it looks very similar
