hey, did you install the mobiframe over this insulation? not sure that would be a pass for the adhesion for crash safety.

You have a point. Whilst the dodo products (or other similar ones) are pretty well stuck down, they wouldn’t be as secure as the adhesive directly onto the bare metal. For this reason I specifically asked about needing insulation prior to fitting the floor and MOBIFRAME said you didn’t need it, so I didn’t put any down.hey, did you install the mobiframe over this insulation? not sure that would be a pass for the adhesion for crash safety.
I hope not, the testing for the safety quotes max weight 135kg, won't be valid if it does weigh more!I did the same, on via the sliding door. I’d say the 3-seater is more around 250kg+ mark though.
Where does it state this - do you have the reference?I hope not, the testing for the safety quotes max weight 135kg, won't be valid if it does weigh more!
Just did some googling and yep it’s claimed at 135kg (SAF43) - just feels a lot heavier when trying to get into the vanI hope not, the testing for the safety quotes max weight 135kg, won't be valid if it does weigh more!
Hi mate, Camper Warehouse has the side step, it's specifically designed for the floor height. Rear threshold is still work in progress, probably be available this summer.has anyone got a good fitting step/rear threshold for the mobiframe floor? I have heard the cali step is the one, but struggling to re-find my own info at the moment![]()

couldn't find it on the website so emailed them and they said its going on the site tuesday/wednesday. (3rd/4th June 2025) they never acknowledged a rear threshold but said the transporter HQ one goes on (very snug). Just a heads up for anyone following this thread.Hi mate, Camper Warehouse has the side step, it's specifically designed for the floor height. brilliant, thank youFor the tailgate threshold I purchased this one from Van-X. Fits perfectly and even accommodates my THQ detachable cover.
It’s longer so covers the carpet join, wider so overlaps the edging of floor and deeper so accommodates the thicker floor.

Well, I spoke to people about this, the adhesive on the floor insulation, sticks like sh1t to a blanket, I certainly wouldn't want to try to remove it (I installed it, and it was a LONG process to do properly).hey, did you install the mobiframe over this insulation? not sure that would be a pass for the adhesion for crash safety.
exactly. but on top of the insulation you are relying on the adhesion of the insulation's which is unknown and untested as far as crash tests. The M10's go through the floor only therefore no structure, the bolts have that sheer for but 1mm floor doesn't, so sheer reduced. if it's not adhered directly to the van metalwork you are outside of manufacturer and the adhesives maker's spec and thus in untested area.Well, I spoke to people about this, the adhesive on the floor insulation, sticks like sh1t to a blanket, I certainly wouldn't want to try to remove it (I installed it, and it was a LONG process to do properly).
It's a large area which is being glued down and in addition to this, two bolts are installed at the rear (10mm steel fixing can take around 1 ton shear).
I love my family and I certainly wouldn't risk their injury, but I take my work over that of anyone paind to do it. It's your call, just do it thoroughly if you do it at all.

Hi, the system uses standard 20mm ‘heads’ so essentially any fixings of that size can be used - check the usual popular markets.Has anyone purchased the universal accessory mount that allows you to fit custom furniture? I’m looking at whether I could use these to secure a subwoofer to the rails. Either by using that bracket or trying to reverse engineer the system and get something made up. The brackets aren’t in stock and no eta. If nobody has any insight on them, perhaps someone can advise how securely the bike mounts are when tightened? One question I have is whether they would be likely to rattle.
Also separate question - for anyone who has bought the cycle mount any issues? It looks like the design has changed from the one in the mobiframe brochure to the one on the camper warehouse website?
Cheers
