Mfd Self Reset?

This afternoon I noticed that the overall avg. mpg and driving time figures had reset. I haven’t pressed any of the buttons on the display so not sure why this has happened. However, none of the milage counters have reset.
Do the counters automatically reset at a certain figure?

No they don’t reset themselves. Have you disconnected the battery?
Perhaps you’ve just accidentally done a reset and didn’t realise.

They do reset if you are using memory 1, memory 2 is the longterm.

Haven’t disconnected the battery or reset not even sure how to do it. , so don’t know what’s happened?

It is the long term memory 2 that has reset.

I found this on my Audi’s. I seemed to think that there was a mileage threshold that it seemed to reset at. Not sure why.

Yep mileage reset, I think at 10,000 miles it does it itself.

Happy to be contradicted though if I’m wrong.

9999 miles or 99hrs 59 mins of driving and numer 2 will reset. number 1 resets if ignition off for more than 2 hrs
