Kombi glass colour

My Mrs tried to beat us but ended up joining us. All the car shows we dragged her (me and mates all with RS's) she ended up buying herself an XR2i. A really sweet little thing it was (the fiesta not the Mrs - she's still sweet if she asks).

This was Castle Coombe for an Anniversary of the Rs Sapphire organised by the RS owners club, don't know if any of you we're there but we formed up in colour order and did a slow lap of the track. Not a great picture as I have had to take a picture of this proper weird thing called a photograph!

Spent months trying to sort my saph engine when I got it back from Mark, swapping bits from estate back and fourth.. Was in limp home mode. Mark couldn't work it out! Months later with a coffee poised looking at the engine, m8 said, I wonder, swapped knock sensor plug and dizzy plug round, and BINGO! Mark kicked his apprentice who had reinstalled the engine loom! (We heard the Yelp!) one for the books!

@andythom188, £1260 fully comp with 1 years NCB. Not quite as bad as the Cossie, which was £1500 on a guaranteed valuation with RS owners club insurance, can't remember what company it was with. Had to have it inspected and valued by one of the club bods - and was then limited to 6k miles per year.

Not as bad as I thought it was going to be m8

About a 1/4 of the price of the car.
So you paid nearly £5k for a rst I paid that for my escos in 2003 ;) it's mad how car prices go up use to pick rst up for £1k not so long ago ,even bought a series 1 from Gloucester for £300 off Rs owners classified section

Had a quote of 2k tpft with a 2k excess! Still it was a time where if you kept hold of a Cossie for 24hrs you were sleeping in it! with a shotgun..... And a Rotweiler!

It was 1994 and I'm sure it was about £4.5k. Wish I could pick up an Escort Cos for that nowadays.
It's such a shame that there just are no new Cosworth branded Fords anymore.
