Although I cannot use offroad easily its still a cool function to see and well done on the discovery.
Regarding the mirrorlink, I did try a couple of different Android phones one running version 6 the other 8 and it just wouldn't play ball.

According to your active FEC code list you don't have MirrorLink(60300), and this is a must to use that feature. You need to get it activated mate;)

By the way can you post you infotainment unit details, please?
Same way as @mmi has done here ---> unit details
Plus your current admap for infotainment. Instructions here ---> admap

Ahhh - I honestly thought this was a way to get this to activate/fool the head unit that mirrorlink was available. Not to worry, thanks for letting me know :)

Re: Admap, I will have to look if I can do this with OBD11

Apologies @Robert for another slightly off topic but as I'm sure here are users of Ross-Tech HEX-USB+CAN or Micro-CAN interface hence a question:

Could someone confirm that now discontinued Ross-Tech HEX-USB+CAN or Micro-CAN interfaces can access T6 BCM (module 09) when ignition is OFF (no keys in the lock) and van unlocked.

Thanks.
I just tried this today and yes I could access T6 BCM (module 09) when ignition was OFF (no key in) and vehicle unlocked:)

Where does one buy or obtain these codes other then VW. My dealers in the UK are currently shut.

Is there an aftermarket/backstreet way of buying, obtaining or generating these such codes?

I have fitted all the cruise Control components but unable to enable and the only reason must be because I have some sort of Component Protection on the gateway or module that only allows for FEC on the engine module.

What program is used or can I be pointed in the direction of those using or generating fec or working with the MIB units so I can learn more about the system?

I cannot change any ecu module coding or adaptions so i must need some sort of additional coding. I can do all the other adaptions and codings throughout the process and other modules.

Bull, the T6 does not use FEC/SWAP or Component Protection in Gateway.
Retrofiting CCS is only Cabling and coding.
But are you probably refering to a T6.1 ?
There CCS is probably FEC/SWAP and the Code for that you can only buy from VW if VW is selling this.

Hi all, new member here so please go easy!

I'm using a revision E version, P/n 5C0 035 680 E, SW 0359, HW H31.

Installed codes:
40100
9400008
70200
50000
30000
60300
60800
60900
60100
60200
70400
All SWaP codes show a different VIN to mine, as the units a retrofit into a PQ35 vehicle

Following the information here, I've got the off road menu activated and working (apart from the level gauage) however:

To access it I have to do the three button press (voice, menu and nav)
When I do this, I get this screen (fuel range doesn't registor on the screen)
49753944493_c9c6fef751_c.jpg

If I do the Hybrid activation I get the Hybrid menu tile but this seems to cancel out the off road menu, no options show at all, I can't get to Offroad, only Powertrain and and accosiated screen for power regeneration (obviously both non-functional).

From messing around activating the TMC before, I actually had to leave the car for a while (or have it running anyway) before the feature activated, or at least thats how it seemed. Futher messing around with fuction options enabled a host of menus in the settings screen of this level, central locking, driver assistance etc. Everytime I tried to access them I got a message saying "not available".

I don't have a "5F"gateway yet, I put it off as I can still access the radio using VCDS (full genuine before anyone asks) but it just doesn't show in the installation list.

Thought I'd share my expieriance as its not a part number I'd seen on here, and also the TBP hadn't worked for anyone else :)

How did you activate 3 button function?

Can't say I "activated" it as such, but pressing Voice, Nav and Menu all together (Took a couple of tries to hit them right) worked for me.

I've since updated my headunit software but still can't get the Offroad menu tile

What is the actual sequence?
All 3 at the very same time? Or maybe one to be held and followed by next 2?

What version did you have before and what version did you end up with?

Update:

Had the performance monitor activated on my unit, genuine activation just wasn't by VW

This has added a host of new menus to the unit, still accesed via the TBP.

Screenshots and update to follow, but does anyone know where the unit gets its readings for the steering angle etc from? Is it from the CANBUS gateway?

I noticed this in Carista a few days ago..

I can’t say I’ve seen any difference with the off-road information enabled (Discovery Media) but then I wouldn’t be sure where to look

As promised, an update:

Performance monitor activated, vehicle status already showing as "active" in the lists as per previous posts. However, the gauges all display 0 readings, as does the steering angle on the off road mode.

New menu items, then click into each spoiler to see under that menu

I've also posted an admap of the radio for anyone whos interested!

Finally, I'm trying to work out where the radio gets thedriving data from, if its the gateway or the clocks. I think its the clocks, so I'm working on finding a set of 3D clocks to pair with it and hopefuly get everything working.
