MIB2 PQ Discover Media - Infotainment mods, upgrade, FEC / SWaP

Yep my bad... typo

Interesting discovery with the menus though.
Already enabled the sport skin :)

I am still curious what this FEC does ----> 60100 - Vehicle Interface (I have it on my active list)
Also I have available for activation this one ---> 60400 - Performance Monitor/ Sport HMI
Does this mean that we could display vehicle data, like Golf/Passat?

Did you get anywhere with this mister, would love to have this menu :)

I am going to figure out how Vehicle Interface works on T6 first
and in the meantime I am going to ask my local stealers how much Performance Monitor activation costs.
Obviously will keep you all updated, in due course:thumbsup:

You are a hero :)

I have a GTE splash-screen during unit start-up.
This can be modified with VCDS or from the hidden menu.

MY18 panel van (no DAB up here :( any more - was a trial thing for a few years but closed down in year 2005).

Discover Media [edit]
Installed SW train version: MST2_EU_VW_PQ_P0468T
Installed SW MU version: 0468
Part number: 5C0035680F
Software version: H29.319.29.3_STD2NavPQ_EU

Installed codes
00040100 Valid - Navigation
09400008 Valid - Map of Europe
00050000 Valid - Bluetooth
00030000 Valid - USB

Supported codes
00060800 - Apple Car Play
00060900 - Android Auto
00060b00 -
00070200 - Voice Control
00070400 - Electronic amplifier for driver
07400012 -
08400002 -
09400003 -
0c400003 -

Interestingly this unit is missing earlier mentioned 00060200 - CarNet but the CarNet is actually activated and working.

Also missing 00060300 - Mirror-link /App-Connect however there is actually a "button" to start the app but that doesn't do anything as didn't pay for it  (the buttons on the right side of this head unit: EJECT-NAV-APP-MENU).

Slighty off the topic but falls into the category of possible add-ons.

The challenge - proximity alerts on T6 Discover Media?

The head unit gladly accepts POI's with or without associated proximity data and shows the POI's on the map but no alerts though.

T6F_Nav_proximity_a.jpg

I can tick the box and move the slider but they clear themselves as soon as I exit from this subpage :(.

However in the internet there are indications that Discover Pro (installed on some other VAG platforms) would/could do the proximity alerts on your own POI's - anyone?

I am still fighting with my local VW dealer.:(
Spoke with 5 different people today and eventually got someone who had some clue of what I am talking about.o_O
They are going to check tomorrow if "60400 - Performance Monitor Fec/SWaP" is available for purchase in their parts department.

@Robert I seem to have 2 codes you dont and am missing the one below. Any ideas?

7400004 - Map ???

No, sorry mate I don't recognise these codes.

On another note I eventually got the answer from my local VW stealership.
"Hi Robert,
I've checked with our techs and the parts dept, this is not something we can do.
We are unble to get the activation key for such features"

As useful as usual and I am going to refrain from any comments.
But not to worry cause in the mean time I have established that I should be able to enable it with VAS 5054A:sneaky:
Stay tuned, more details in near future ;)
