High Roof Roof Rack Options

Hi all,

I'm currently looking at a 2016 transporter T32 with high roof, but Ineed to be able to fit a roof rack to it. Has anyone out there done this or got any info on which would fit? It'll need to be able to carry the weight of a traditional open canoe.

I've (not me, but my lads) fitted about 20 sets of roof racks, only to a normal height bus, but I can't see a high roof being any different?

I fit the Rhino bars, not had an issue so far.

Thanks for reply, I was led to believe they had a fibreglass roof, so wasn't sure if that affects things

Going to view one on Friday so will hopefully find out if that's the case then

Your going to struggle with the open, getting it on top. I put two 3 seater on my last T5 using a Karitek...fearsomely expensive and worth every penny. I sold it 5 years later for 2/3rd of what I paid for it.

Hi Wid13, thanks for the suggestion. I've just contacted Karitek in regards to their high lift roof rack which looks like it fits to the side rails and doesn't sit on the top of the roof. Ta
