100% recommended this guys, I went for the dash and android sync unit that works like a dream on my halo9. Looks superb on my t5.1.

there's a few odd things that will no doubt be fixed with firmware updates

Ant was great though, he even fixed a few odds and sods with his trusty glue gun (he loves that) that had nowt to do with the dash.

Ha, I fitted a 6.1 last week and it's running lovely, they have quickly nailed the firmware. I have fed back to them some tweaks to the rear of the unit to get better clearances on the plastic behind the dash, and they are rapidly sending a new back cover design for my next fitting.

I said better still send me a free 3D handheld scanner and I will collect some data for them!

Anyways they are in stock and fully supported. And look ace with the head unit sync kit running on them! Even better with a 5G worldwide data sim installed!
 
This looks rather interesting! How are these different from the ones on Aliexpress? Am I reading your site right in saying that the newer models will have direct CarPlay integration? Does that mean you have to pick between head unit and dash (I have discover media).

I was also intrigued by a post about a cinema solution.. planning something for new van. Do you have any more details please?

I will have to go live on Facebook soon and invite you for a demo to see everything working. Borat, call me on Saturday morning before 10 am so I can demo what I have. I have a cinema kit pretty much ready to go. I am interested in other solutions, but they are not a patch on what I have assembled. I have a rambling video from my T6.1 first installation last week, where I was running my cinema whilst the F1 was on, and I was sitting in the back working on the dash installation. I will put it up and send you a link if I can get a decent cut. My projector is XGIMI-based, either the Mogo Pro2 or Halo+, and both are Android LEDs; I mount using professional camera equipment and riv-nut installations with spreader plates, and my screen is the size of an umbrella. I can drive along whilst the kids watch a 65" screen in the back, it barely moves..
 
I know I have gone a bit quiet, mainly focussing on getting the Crafter and 6.1 out there - for which I was a large part of the development - but in fact, the Crafter unit is all my fault. They did not know the vehicle existed since they didn't have it in China. So I feel pretty responsible for getting fit perfectly, so I drove up to Grimsby and donated a free fitting to ensure it was right; we had a new firmware on that vehicle developed and installed whilst I was there, I had them on tap doing the night shift to rectify any faults.

Big thank you to @antony.charnley for popping over to see me this morning. We had a few bits to work through getting the digital sync box working as I required. Would not hesitate in recommending Ant as he has provided exceptional service and support.
 
I’m looking to buy one for my T6.

I love the look of it and Ant is very helpful.

Wondering if I have to buy the complimentary extra to link it to the head unit.

Numpty question maybe but if I don’t have the extra and buy (supply and fit) the dash fitted will my maps show on the dash from car play. If no they will not then I will def need the extra kit!

Im excited to get it, just trying to justify it to myself! My partner asked do I need it, but what’s that got to do with anything 🤣

I Have been dealing with this rogue trader for over 8 months. I was one of the first customers that bought his digi dash for my VW T6.1. Right from the begining it became apparent this is not VW Transporter specific as advertised and sold. My unit turned up with butchered casing adn 50% of missing - explenation from the trader - improves the ventilation. Nevermind, money paid and all £550 of it so I thought lets roll with it. 7 months later and after around 5 firware updates I am still stuck with numerous glitches. I am getting my money back from this rogue trader and I suggest everyone avoids him although I have a feeling he is already out of it after creaming it on initial batch.

Please go to settings>Preferences>mil chec and set to 'IO' and be patient!

I concede you had an early revision of the 6.1 frame and hand trims were initially required for trouble free fitting. This is no longer the case and was not expected at the time of fitting, furthermore, we had a mutual agreement prior to shipping out where you agreed to accept the unit on this basis.

At that point I had fitted 4 or 5 in this way and have never heard of any issues from those customers. I apologise I had to put a block on Facebook but threats of physical violence will not be tolerated. I wish you well and can connect you directly to the manufacturer for you to pursue your claims further. But as previously stated, all communications must now be by email please.

Support is a two way street and requires cooperation, I hope my customers know me as someone who wholeheartedly supports this community working tirelessly to go above and beyond in my supply and installations, if my full attention has fallen short of your expectations on this occasion I can only reflect of the fact in life 'you cannot please everybody'.

Please cease and desist on refering to me as a 'rogue trader' since I see and speak to customers every day, installing meticulously whilst ensure to offer the best and most professional service I can in every way. plenty on here that have dealt with ant. all positivite apart from at times hard to get hold of but this could be down to family time etc but once you do get him goes above and beyond to sort any issue. so just be patient and sort your problem out.
 
Ant fitted my 6.1 with the digi dash and Ai box yesterday . Absolulty superb piece of kit on all fronts and Ant couldnt have been more helpful in explaining how it all works.Great to meet a true expert in his field of business. This upgrade is a must for all Transporter owners IMHO and totally enhances the driving experience. recommend you watch the Youtube videos to convince yourself how good this kit is.

This seems very harsh as one of the first none multifunction steering wheel installs Antony has always answered the phone yes there were teething issues which were explained at the start as this was part of the development of the product as anyone that knows Antony he will explain potential issues in great depth with no pressure to purchase. I had frame issues but this wasn't Antonys fault this was manufacturing defects and delivery gremlins which again Antony sorted by speaking direct to the manufacturer and getting subsequent frames sent out he doesnt make the item in his garage but he will modify to help fitment if needed and with your permission with his trusty hot glue gun and chopping board 😁 but to be clear this was initial fitment due initial frame issues being one of the first which were rectified by injection mold frames after few test units had ironed out the issues, before the trolls come in on this section.

And since my install which Antony fitted I have since recommended to a friend with a t6.1 who ordered direct from antony and we installed with no issues what so ever.

My digidash has now been in 13 months and its performing perfectly and I'd be happy to recommend to friends and family.
