Solid red light on the door means there's a fault in the central locking system....

You'll probably find the turn signals don't flash either when you try and lock / set alarm due to door open being sensed...

The door is causing issues... based on mmi's post, it may not be connected to the 'leaving home' lights problem, but its hard to say for sure...

if you can get a VCDS scan it would help show up any other problems or provide more detail for troubleshooting.

Happy new year all!

So after fitting the battery monitor and checking the connections behind the rear view mirror, the leaving home lights work! And the Light and rain sensor code is no longer appearing on Carista!

Just the rear of side sliding door issue to sort now!
