Dodo thermo liner, ply floor and steep size

I'm about to start laying my floor down on my panel van. I bought the dodo thermo liner 10mm and a 12mm floor (which I plan to screw down).

My only concern is the side step. Deepest step I've found is the van-x 17mm, which clearly leaves me short.

Has anyone managed to make this work? Or do I just have the wrong thermo liner?

There are 3 different VW steps available I think:-

1. van
2. kombi
3. Caravelle

One of the other more experienced will be along to advise which one is best for you!

12mm battens + 12mm ply floor + "VAN-X Door Step 17mm Extra Deep". Fits perfectly.
