Caravelle for courier driving

Hi all,I'm currently shopped for a van for courier driving and sold on the VW.
I've been looking at the LWB crewvan but I would spec it up which dose add some bucks.
Purchasing new.

I have found a Caravelle which has everything I'm looking for and more,my issue is,is it too good a
van to use as a courier van which I will be delivering parcels nothing heavy or bulky. I've gone with
the LWB models due to my weekend hobby which allows me to fit my gear in.

So my long winded question is!

Is it too good a van for my needs?

I've been thinking about building a box to hold my surveying gear that fits on the floor rails. Maybe you could have something similar but with taller sides and doors in it?

Does it make any kind of financial sense? I ask because if you’re thinking of buying a new Caravlle, courier driving must pay a hell of a lot more where you are than here in the UK (either that or Caravelles are significantly cheaper).

Thanks for the response gents.
Ayjay a spec ed up Transporter comes in at 49 AUD and the Caravelle 58 AUD
I revisited the dealership today and an thinking its too good of a van for the workload
and as you say Ayjay financial sense probably not.

I think I'll go with a Crewman which has the sliding doors with windows either side if the dealership can get hold of stock which is very low here in Australia.
