Hmmm. Thanks for sharing this. I’ll have another look. The Carista website shows the battery type as being one of the things you can modify, don't know why you can't.View attachment 188557
I've actually installed the same battery.I’ve just fitted my new Bosch 95Ah battery (S5 A13). Coded with Carista.
My question… why is there no option to change battery type?
Previous battery was a Varta AGM (75Ah).
Do I need to be concerned that the right battery type is coded? Does the van expect AGM by default?

095 is the physical battery size not the capacity (Ah), was 095 a menu option or manually entered?I did this. It’s been a while. I guess it’s worked!? Battery appears to be working great.

I kinda feel like as long as the van knows it’s a new battery, it will work itself out?I've just bought the Carista EVO and it doesn't show battery type at all. I've sent a message to Carista, but it's the same problem as above.
How did you fix this?
AGM is what you want. EFB is just a way for VW to save money. You don’t need to change battery type, just make sure the capacity is correct and change the serial number either by a digit or to the one on the battery (doesn’t matter either way). Job done.So I've just tried it on my other [non VW cars] and the menu's are different (I can't change the battery type). I'm guessing the ECU in my T6 doesn't have a setting for battery type.
So, have I bought the wrong battery? I previously had an EFB+ and my new one is AGM. They recommended this one for my van, but I'm now wishing I didn't buy it, rather just go to somewhere and get them to install it.
Yeah, Carista used to have other options but now only has capacity, manufacturers code and serial number. No option for chemistry but not sure it makes any difference between EFB and AGM.I think your issue is with Carista not with the T6, I have VCDS and can definitely see and change the battery type, manufacturer and capacity.
