Battery cable crimping tool recommendation please

I've used one of these for years for various jobs. Boats/trailers/winches etc. I use a large bench mounted vice to apply the force, not a hammer. Never failed, cheap, cheerful, reliable. I never solder stranded cable crimped joints as it's bad practise. I use adhesive lined heatshrink between the lug & the cable insulation.

it would save you buying your own one for it to be used very infrequently and sat in your tool box mostly!

I had to buy a longer toolbox to cage the beast!! 26 incher now making itself comfortable in the back of the van

I'm going to help others locally by saying, if you want to borrow my crimper you are welcome! I live in SW Fife, and it would save you buying your own one for it to be used very infrequently and sat in your tool box mostly!
