I used this, although it was only around £20 last year with a £6 adapter form eBay straight into my std VW screen. Coded using carista. Works exactly as std VW with optional lines and overlay.

did you finish the fit. Just bought the HCE-C2100RD but thinking of mounting it on the barn door spoiler so i have a view when the tow bar bike rack is on. Camera works out the box with the Halo 11 but resolution a bit underwhelming
I did , used a OEM mount, Dremel some of the plastic on the inside so the camera fits in, hot glue around the sides (didn't want a permanent hold just incase of future repairs) .
I did use a Vanx rear number plate surround which isn't needed and you could do it to your original
tidy job. How do rate the resolution of the camera. I was expecting something a little sharper but it was a quick look and the resolution of my halo 11 is 720p and not 1080p
discovered i can run the cable along the same path as the high level break lights but might need to dremel the brake light unit for the cable

Hi, I will soon be doing same with alpine reverse camera on my tailgate. I also was looking at using the oem mount. A few questions for you, how did you secure the mount, tiger seal or similar? Does the alpine fit to the end of the mount inside and does it give a good view without the sides of the mount showing ? I was thinking maybe of securing the camera inside the mount with some silicone sealant. Cheerslooks similar to the one i fitted . . .

i bought the Alpine HCE-2100rd for a HALO 11 and was very disappointed with the resolution. Camera was removed and returned. Mounted it to aero wing on the barn doors
Thanks, I’ll be having the halo 9. Hopefully better resolution.
they did say the screen size on the H11 was too big
Done on a tailgate. Should be possible on a barn door.
Tailgate Badge Removal
Has anyone had any experience of removing the badges from the tail gate as I'm thinking of removing them but am concerned of damaging the paint. :whistle:
