I’ve just purchased a Nextbase Dashcam that came with a wired rear camera that is deigned to fix onto the rear window.
The front facing camera I installed without any issues and is working fine, however the rear mounted camera has me scratching my head somewhat…
So I had planned on running the cable from the front camera to the rear of the van via the headlining, a pillar, door trim, down the b pillar and behind the fitted units in my leisure drive conversion all the way to the rear doors, then I’ve hit a problem…how do I get the cable to run onto the rear barn doors?
I had thought about running it via the rubber cable trunking that connects the barn doors to the body, but this seems to terminate in a void between the inner and outer skin of the van. I’ve taken the rear light assembly off but can’t see any way of accessing this from inside the rear of the van.
This has got me seriously puzzled.
If anyone has fitted a rear mounted camera on the window to their barn doors, can you please give me some advice on how to route the connecting cable?
Thanks in advance, John
