Auto Folding Wing Mirrors

Just opening up this thread again.
How would I have a ‘R’ and a ‘Q’ would one have been replaced at some point??

Thanks mimi does that mean they will work after coding?
Fold on remote you mean?
Yes, this far the understanding has been that it works with these modules.

Unless I'm mistaken - your van is MY17? Interestingly the R+Q modules haven't seen installed on MY17 vans - this far...

Read through this thread and managed to get my mirrors folding by given a long press of the lock button after the coding changes .. So much easier than remembering to do it from inside the van! Surprised I've actually got the right modules for a change! Cheers

I read a thread on here with with interest: unfortunately the replies have been turned off. I have a May 2017 T6 highline with a folding mirror switch but it doesn’t do it on locking. I can hold the key fob locking button for some time but nowt happens: the windows do auto close.

@Loz has contributed to a long VCDS thread suggesting that it can be programmed in yet i was told (can’t remember by who) that on my van it can’t be done.

I do have a Carista and I can see no option for it.

Can it be done??

@Mick It depends on what revision the door controllers are.
Post a detailed output of the scan and you can see the controller revision.

Post #216 has the details to compare with your results.

I'll merge this onto the end of the topic above.

@Loz. Thanks. This is the ECU scan of my Carista. I can’t see the code Pauly posted in that thread.

Nothing attached?

Carista is not listing the Sub modules under Central Electrics, so you can see the needed information.
You would need a VCDS or other more comprehensive scan.

Ok thanks mate. I’ll ambush someone at the next meet up.

I would say the "B" nails it down not to have suitable submodules or the functionality in the BCM itself has the shortfall.

So it’s a big fat NO then
That's what I'm afraid - not by a simple coding change anyways.
Actually I have a faint impression it seems to relate the BCM version ("B") itself.

A somewhat related thread for future reference.

My 2016 Euro 6 Caravelle had L modules installed for some reason. I changed the coding from 1 to 3 at the end and activated Comfort functions, and the mirrors now fold on the key. Thanks all!

Morning all, I've read through the thread, I was fortunate to have folding mirrors on the long press of the key when I bought my MY19 Kombi. Is there a way to have the mirrors actually fold automatically when you lock the van?
I seem to be getting through fob batteries because of the long hold.
Cheers
