Android Car Stereos UK

I would imagine at this rate they will be out of T6 variant stock by the time I have made up my mind.

I can't seem to find warranty info on @AndroidCarStereoUK website. They don't seem to have posted on the forum since the awkwardness the other day with @evansa 's initial issues with their unit that was dimly lit, tinny in sound and hot like the sun (but apparently that's normal)- I wonder what has come of that situation?

I dont have time to fit one right now, but am very interested. Its convenient for me to hold back right now but want to see some longer term usage reviews. Two things I noticed are no warranty information on their site and also no business contact and address details which is of course legally required in the UK. I see they are on Companies House though, so that might just be an oversight.
I think the warranty details is on their returns page, and is 6 months (184 days)

You’re right that was awkward and maybe in months to come we will all wish we had taken her advice but I wasn’t prepared to let the view of one new member who had only posted about her issues sway me over the views of other more regular members especially when the evidence of a dim screen showed the protection film still in place. The one good thing about her post was that it made me look closer at their returns policy and I suppose if you do get a duff unit I think you will need to be prepared to provide lots of evidence, I hope she gets her problem sorted.

I have also been amazed at the amount of emails I have had from the company offering fitting support, including photos of how to wire it up, so I guess maybe the company has taken some of the points on board.

I am pretty sure I am going to get one of these. I would be interested to hear if the carista dongle works, I didn't think about that and then see what the six month year opinions are......please post them for us if you have bought one or even better bought one a while ago and already have a few months usage under your belt.
If the longer term reviews are good I can't see how you can go wrong for the money.

Don’t expect a reply from @AndroidCarStereoUK anytime soon.

After the initial negative comment I have had threats of legal action against the forum for not removing the content, this has now gone quiet since this thread seems to have gone largely positive and I’m assuming driving sales for them but they are no longer welcome here.

I was quite tempted to lock and/or remove this thread but that would only be negative for forum users so I have left it alone

Thats a shame, I think they have missed a trick reacting like that given the potential market on here

Well that sucks. Good product seeming let down by bad business practices. The best reputation is made by how you deal with customers / issues.

I think the device is enough to sell itself and there will be a lot of us that will take the plunge while stocks last!

I believe it to be good enough value that if/when I buy one I'll be very happy with it but I won't be expecting much of an assist if there's an issue down the line from them though. Massive shame about the thread etc. I feel like they are great communicators to an extent but they should have stopped before they started with the t1t for tat stuff, that issue could have been handled way better. There was more than enough positive counter feedback. It just got weird hehe.

I think what is worst is them wasting @Pauly 's time

In all fairness to them, I received an email after installing my unit, stating that their customer service didn't stop there, if i had any questions or issues be it 3, 6, 9 12 months down the line, then to give them a shout.
They appear to be a genuine company with their customers best intentions at heart.

That might not read right, this is due to alcohol consumption.

Sounds to me that they have a good basic product, probably "not that dissimilar" to what you can pick up off Ali-express for £60, with a good technical/fitting advice service layer. Just obviously very inexperienced dealing with tricky customer services situations whereas Ali-express can be quite good when things go wrong if you pick the right seller carefully. Maybe their manager dealt with that before, as they must have learned about fitting lots of different head units somewhere?

Really not impressed they threatened @Pauly though. Hopefully they will learn from this and continue to develop.

I think all this stinks! Shitty over a dissatisfied customer coming on here to share their own person experience and then shitty to Paul over it .
Lock the thread Paul and tell them to
'do one' 🖕

There's no where else where you can review them. Not on trustpilot or google reviews from what I can see.

The director and sole trader, (name redacted) also owns a building company which gets exemplary 10/10 reviews on Checkatrade if the suspicious feedback is to be believed. As a 24 year old, he started young as his building firm has been going 25 years.

I tend to agree, he is a re-seller. Probably sitting on a large amount of stock, bought cheap, tripling his money by being nice but gets arsey when challenged.

I'd avoid
