Just curious is it possible to wire an amp to the standard system?

Just saw a JBL with amp for £80 on ebay so tempted given boot space lol

You can do, using high level input, but not all amps will work with the outputs of a factory unit unless you use a speaker-rca interface

Do the self powered ones have the amp built in?

We are in the process of designing one....

I use absolut5s underseat enclosure with a sundown audio 10" sd3 designed for small enclosures.
Seeing around 400w at 2ohm.

Very well made enclosure. I did line the whole enclosure with epoxy resin and loads of lead shot to add mass to make sure vibrations Arnt transferred and it hits those 30hz notes without farting.
